🎶Experience the impassioned and invigorating merge of Afro-Dominican rhythms with contemporary jazz by virtue of Dominican-born percussionist, Junior Santos. His work has been influenced by Afro-Dominican and Afro-Cuban music, as well as jazz artists such as Steve Gadd, Chick Corea, Yellowjackets and Spyro Gyra.🪘❤️

🪗Junior has had a lively career performing and recording with many influential bands and ensembles throughout the years. As a freelance musician, he’s played with Canadian artists like Laura Fernandez, Joaquin Nunez Hidalgo, Zeynep Ozbilen, Roberto Linares Brown, Kalabash and a number of other Latin-influenced bands. 🎺🎻

🪘It didn’t take long after releasing his debut album, Conpambiche, to be nominated for a Juno Award for Jazz Album of the Year (Solo, 2021).
