🎶 Join us at the Lions Club pancake breakfast on Sunday, July 24 between 8:30 – 11am and catch the performance by our 2022 Rising Jazz Star, the Hugh Penner Quartet.
At noon, 7-time Juno nominee and jazz pianist, John Stetch brings his trio to the stage. A typical set list includes a Chopin nocturne, a swinging jazz standard, an original piece, an African dance song, and an Eastern European medley.
You’re in for a treat at 2 pm with the 8-piece Paul Perry Jazz Orchestra featuring PJ Perry and Brad Shigeta and some of the best Vancouver musicians around.
The Community Hall stage will close on Sunday with a powerful and inspirational performance by Vancouver’s beloved and longest-lived gospel choir, Universal Gospel Choir with special guest, Canadian Recording Artist, Warren Dean Flandez. UGC is a community-based group of singers passionate about raising the roof with their music. Known for their big sound, musical diversity, exuberant sense of fun and standing-room-only concerts, UGC celebrates all genres of music, from old-school gospel to current uplifting pop, from civil rights anthems to traditional songs from all around the world.

We will have 3 super amazing bands performing at our Youth and Emerging Artists stage at the Historic CNR Station😍
👀 11 am – The Ethan Lawrence Quartet is a newly formed band comprised of four young talented artists. Their music is diversified, vibrant and they have a whole lot of energy. 😎
👀 1 pm – maya & ben, these 2 cousins started busking in 2012. Their harmonies are perfectly matched and bring their songs to a whole new level. They released their new soulful grooves single this March and keep surprising their fans with their incredible compositions.
👀 3 pm – Dean Thiessen’s Stranger Friends. Dean Thiessen is the composer of the band and his band members have become the biggest inspiration for his creations. Their songs vary from symphonic poems to improvised collaborations.

Imagine spending a warm, sunny afternoon listening to back-to-back live jazz while enjoying a cold, refreshing beverage at our pop-up beer and wine River Stage. Nestled along the Fraser River, the River Stage is an oasis and hidden gem and was one of our more popular outdoor stages at our last in-person festival in 2019.
The stage will feature local band, The Shannon Lee Quartet who will deliver a jazzy/pop style performance.🎧 Followed by Slim Sandy and the Hillbilly Boppers who will entertain you with their unique style of roots music, from western swing to hillbilly boogie. ✨🌎 And wrapping up, we’ll have the Daryl Jahnke Trio with Daryl Jahnke on guitar, Kerry Galloway on bass and Joel Fountain on drums who will perform original compositions, surprising covers, along with some favourites from Scofield, Metheny, and others.
